About Caden
Why we built a running form app that gives you one cue and a short practice plan instead of a lab report, and what we believe about plain words and privacy.
Most running form analysis was built for labs, clinics and elite coaches. It produces a long report full of angles and percentages, and then leaves you to work out what to do with it.
Caden started from a simpler question: what would a good coach say after watching you run for ten seconds?
They would name one or two things. They would show you the frame where it happens. They would give you a drill to do this week, and ask you to come back in a month.
That is the whole app.
What we believe
- Plain words beat jargon. "Your foot lands ahead of your hip" is more useful than "excessive tibial inclination at initial contact."
- A cue you can hold in your head beats a paragraph. Each metric gets one.
- Honesty about limits builds trust. A phone camera sees 2D angles, not forces. Caden says so on every metric, and it rejects clips it cannot read instead of inventing a number.
- Privacy is a feature. Your clip uploads with the audio removed, is stored privately under your account, and deleting an analysis removes its media from our servers.
Where we are
Caden is iPhone only for now. Android is on the list. If you coach runners or work in a clinic and want to try Caden with your athletes, email hello@caden.app.
